- How do I use the extension?
- Click the extension icon in your Chrome toolbar, choose a format, then drag and resize the overlay on any webpage. Click "Capture" to save the screenshot.
- What formats are supported?
- Square (1080x1080), Portrait (1080x1350), Vertical (1080x1440), Landscape (1080x566), Story (1080x1920), Reel (1080x1920), and Carousel (1080x1350). Plus Panoramic Carousel with 2-10 slides.
- What does the quality indicator mean?
- Green (100%+) means pixel-perfect capture. Orange (70-99%) means slight upscaling. Red (<70%) means you should zoom in or enlarge the overlay for better quality.
- How does the Panoramic Carousel work?
- Select the number of slides (2-10), position the wide overlay, and capture. All slides are automatically cut and exported as a numbered ZIP file ready to upload to Instagram.
- Does the extension collect my data?
- No. Everything runs 100% locally in your browser. No data is ever sent to any server. See our Privacy Policy.
- The extension icon doesn't appear
- Click the puzzle icon in Chrome's toolbar, find "Instagram Screenshotter", and click the pin icon to make it visible.
- The overlay doesn't appear after clicking a format
- Some Chrome internal pages (like chrome://, the Web Store, or the New Tab page) don't allow extensions to inject content. Try on any regular website.
