Instagram Screenshotter ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the Extension accesses and how it is used.

Data Collection

The Extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data or browsing information.

No data is sent to any external server. No analytics, tracking, or telemetry of any kind is used.

Permissions Explained

• activeTab — Used solely to capture a screenshot of the currently visible tab when the user explicitly clicks the capture button. The Extension only accesses the tab content at the moment of capture and does not monitor or read tab content at any other time.
• scripting — Used to inject the selection overlay (a visual rectangle) onto the current page so the user can choose the area to capture. No page content is read or modified.
• downloads — Used to save the captured screenshot image to the user's local device via Chrome's built-in download system.

Data Processing

All image processing (cropping, resizing, ZIP packaging) happens entirely within the browser using local APIs (OffscreenCanvas, Service Worker). No data ever leaves your device.

Third-Party Services

The Extension does not use any third-party services, APIs, SDKs, or libraries.

Data Retention

The Extension does not retain any data. Captured images are saved directly to your local file system and are not stored by the Extension.

Children's Privacy

The Extension does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
